PHILANTHROPY

GPHI’s are committed to serving our community. Learn more about our philanthropic efforts!

GPHI’s are women building strong girls. One way our members build strong girls is by partnering with Girls on the Run.

Building Strong Girls is the philanthropic focus of Gamma Phi Beta. This means that we can show support for our philanthropy in many ways, which you can learn about below. One of the most direct ways that we build strong girls is by partnering with Girls on the Run, an organization meant to build confidence and resiliency in elementary and middle school aged girls.

Gamma Phi Beta is passionate about our philanthropic focus because we know today's girls face more challenges than ever, making the need for a safe place with supportive mentors even greater. Girls need women in their lives who can help them develop the skills to succeed in life.

Gamma Phi Betas are those women.

BUILDING STRONG GIRLS

By building strong girls, Gamma Phi Betas are committed to making a difference in their communities. Sisters can do this in many ways, but some of the closest ways that they do this are by mentoring others and providing support to women around them. Gamma Phi Betas are women building strong girls.

GIRLS ON THE RUN - ATLANTA

In order to build strong girls as a chapter, Gamma Phi Beta partners with Girls on the Run of Atlanta to provide support through continued volunteering, donating money, and more. Every semester, sisters volunteer in downtown Atlanta at the Girls on the Run 5K to celebrate the accomplishments of young girls completing the race. From running buddies to cheerleaders, sisters encourage participants to complete their goal.

BUILDING STRONG GIRLS IS…

PROACTIVE

Gamma Phi Beta's philanthropic focus doesn't just address an existing challenge — we are Building Strong Girls to proactively provide opportunities for long-term success by inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.

LOCAL

In every community there are ways for chapters to provide girls the support they need to bolster their ability to believe in themselves and understand their value and potential.

UNLIMITED

From physical fitness to tutoring and mentoring to supporting local organizations that empower and teach girls life-enriching skills, Building Strong Girls provides many opportunities for involvement.

GIRLS ON THE RUN IS…

STRONGER THAN SPORTS

Evidence shows Girls on the Run makes a stronger impact than both organized sports and physical education in teaching life skills that benefit girls at home, at school and with their friends.

ONE OF A KIND

The only program of its kind, we focus on the important connection between mind and body. Our combination of targeted lessons and physical activity instill confidence and nurture care and compassion in every girl.

FOR A LIFETIME

Results show our program inspires and empowers girls to build healthy physical and mental habits that last long beyond the program.
